SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it really is alarmed concerning the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The support position designed for intervention activities a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more info more resources to empower the servicing of all consumers and maximize use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
